I have had my 2009 Tundra Doublecab SR5 5.7 liter since 2017 and have 150k miles. It was the blue/silver color and was starting to look a little long in the tooth so I took the iniative to update it after someone hit me in the front panel but did minimal damage. I was debating on getting a new vehicle but finally decided because I am frugal and don’t want to mess with all the electronic issues on new vehicles to upgrade my current truck. This is a secondary vehicle as I have a work car.

    My list of upgrades include:

    TRD Grill
    Headlights
    Desert Tan Liner
    Peragon bed cover
Armadillo Chase Rack and Tire Carrier
    AGP 18” wheels
    35” FalKen Rough Terrain Tires
    Blistein 5100 front and back
Eibach 2.5” springs in the front.
Coachbuilder +3 Shackles and leaf bearings
    Coachbuilder carrier bearing drop
    Coachbuilder .5” front bumper shims
    Rear sway bar
Powerstop rotors and breaks front and back
    Futamo oil valve
Two transmission drains for a total of around 9 liters added
    Rear differential fluid change
    Spark plugs changed
    Serpentine belt and tensioner changed
    Fender Flares

The truck drives vastly better than before and I only wish I had done it earlier. My truck prior to the work measured 35 3/4” from ground to wheel well in the front and 38” in the back.

After adding the Bilsteins and Eibach 2.5” springs, my front was raised 3” to 38 3/4”.

After adding the liner paint, Chase rack and tire carrier, and 35” tires, my front went up to 40” and my back was mysteriously sitting at 39”. I then added the rear Shackles which brought my rear up to 40 3/4”.

I had zero rub after adding my 35” tires but I did have to add the front bumper shims to stop the rub on the fender liners. All in all, the truck rides great and I like the look. I did all the work myself other than the liner paint and installing the wheels and tires. None of it was difficult. Well worth the money and I hope to get another 10 years out of it.
