I installed Sankei 555s on my Tundra in Aug and am happy with them at $113 out the door. I had heard others talk about them in this forum but couldn't find anyone who was actually running them except Tundra2 and one of the techs that rebuilds racks at Solo Motorsports. After a year, I was finally able to get my hands on a set at a local NAPA that had a pair in stock. I measured, tested and inspected them and liked what I saw. Ended up ordering them in same set on one of their online 20% off sales. Part #s and pricing pictured below.Screenshot_2024-10-10-23-59-39-85_40deb401b9ffe8e1df2f1cc5ba480b12 (1).jpg

Here are a couple of side by sides for comparison...

Tundra2 has been running 555s for over 3 years and said they had held up very well. He would install them again in his silver truck. The Solo guy has been running them longer in multiple vehicles and highly recommends them as well.

Here is a link to T2s 555 postings in his build thread.

BTW....That's a 20 yr old OEM ITR in the photo...lol.

At that age, it was shot though.

I was trying to upload a short video from my phone that shows me testing the old ITR. How do you upload a video here?

You don't. This site doesn't have the capacity to store videos like that. It does however, support video links. Just about every video clip that you see here on this site is a youtube vid, but it'll play within this site. So, in order for you to post videos, you've gotta have a youtube account that you upload videos to, then post a link here, and it will thumbnail as a clickable video clip. It's kind of a janky workaround, but it works. There are a couple other sites that you can use, other than youtube, but I don't remember their names at the moment.
Disclaimer: I'm no tech-nerd. at all. This is just how I understand it to be.

Yea but bleach the fumes suck and burns worse than breathing in ethanol fumes next to a dragster. Oil sucks cause it leaves oil all over the inside of your fenders.

Universal coolant works well for a smoke show and evaporates/ washes away with a pressure wash.

Normal street tires and any 05-06 has enough to break them loose at a stand still.

I bet the 04 DC does too, with its 4.10's. Hell even the 5vz Tundras I bet can with their 4.08, 4.10, & 4.30 gears.
I'd have killed for some 4.30's in my Tacomas

Woke up to some kind of exhaust leak on the driver side. Sounds like a cicada/ buzz noise when the engine is idling in drive. No noise in park. Mostly when the engine drones.

Noticed when in the drive thru of Starbucks

wonder if the ugly welds from having cat put back on after they tried to steal them finally gave up after a year

Put some gas in it. Drove mostly highway miles on this tank. Got 343 miles and wasn’t touching the empty line yet. 22 gallons of fuel. 16.6 mpg corrected for the larger tires. First full highway tank not towing with the 285s. Not too shabby.

my highway miles are also inflated. It's like a nice bonus for having dumb sized tires. But the shit street MPG evens it out. My truck can get between 7mpg and 16mpg.

I drove my truck today for the first time in about two months. Brought her home for the weekend. I installed a Dakine tailgate bike pad and I put a cargo carrier from a Subaru Ascent inside the drivers side windoor.

Wack. Road force is different from a normal balance. They can balance and still be off.

Any chain can be that way. Depends on who you get.
