Hello all…my name is Joe and new to the group. There are some great posts and people on this board! I just took delivery of a 2023 black 1794 hybrid 4x4. I originally ordered it with the ambient lighting and powered running boards and step. I waited 4 months for the dealer to find me what I was looking for but they kept stringing me along month over month. Last year I purchased the TRD 3” OEM lift kit in anticipation of getting the truck to get that purchase out of the way. Got a great deal $2600. Which I will install myself.
This also required me to omit the AVS and leveling system. Long story short. I found one at a dealer in Georgia and had them deliver it to me here in Florida. However…no ambient lighting or power running boards. The dealer cut me a check for $3000 so that I could aftermarket the running boards.
I purchased the GoRhino E1 boards with the bed liner texture for 2100 and I will install them myself.
Finally to my question. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the OEM powered running boards? I am hoping the factory harness is there and I can buy the switch and maybe cpu to integrate into existing circuitry. The Rhino has a harness and control I using magnetic switches on all the door frames but I’m looking for a cleaner install and to used OEM switch in dash. So that’s it. Sorry for the long winded introduction

Did you ever find the answer for this? Currently installing AMP Research boards and looking for wiring info.

It did come with insturction, but very general(weak) information. Especially on the wire storage and splicing. Thanks for the links.

I believe someone has been working on an alternate solution for the Go Rhino E1 / Rough Country power steps so you dont have to use the magnets, but instead use wiring in the doors for open/close sensing. Does anyone know if anyone has successfully done this? I like the higher step deployment of the Go Rhino, but i really dont want the magnets.
