    I need help!
I attached a couple LED lights (signstek 18W Cree) on my rear bumpers.
    Same @csuviper
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/diy-2007-aftermarket-led-backup-reverse-light-install.2480/

On each light I connect the black wires to the frame (ground).
Then, I conected both reds together and then to one red wire running to the front drivers side. At this end, I use a "mini add a circuit".
I connected the circuit to the "Cargo LP" fuse under the instrument panel.
When I turn the truck, both lights are on, but I cannot turn it off with the cargo light bottom. It stays on no matter what.
    What am I doing wrong?

The fuse will be +12v as soon as you turn the key, which is what you're seeing. You'd need to tap to the circuit after it is switched off you want them to go on /off with the cargo light

    Fuse is 12v with ignition
Switch determines when to use that 12v if that makes sense

    Hi Tom @tomsinamerica ,
    I really appreciate your reply.
    I love this forum!

FYI- I've disconnecting the negative battery terminal before messing with circuits and truck was turned off obviously.

I tested again (just to make sure) with all off including the cargo light button turned off.
I reconnect the battery terminal and turn on the truck. The LED rear lights turn on and stays on even when I turn off the engine.

    Hi Ron (@RowdyRon )
I want the LED lights to be controlled by the cargo light button. I'm using the mini tap a circuit. The LED lights turn on, but I can not control them.
I'm sure I'm tapping the right fuse box, because when I remove the fuse, the cargo light doesn't work.
    Any ideas? IMG_7376.jpgIMG_7379.jpg IMG_7378.jpg

Easiest way would be to tap the cargo light or behind the switch

Do you mean, splice the cargo L/P wire?
If so, any clue which one is?

Still, I don't understand why using 'mini add a circuit' you can't control with the dash board Cargo lights button

Because at the fuse box, you're getting ignoring power before it's switched, if you want it controlled by that switch, you need to tap between the switch and the lamp.

Like others said the fuse is hot when truck is turned on. You need to tap in to the wire between the switch and cargo light. Since you already have the wire run to the add a tap I would tap in at the cargo light switch. Pull the panel under the steering wheel. You can pull the connector off the cargo light switch and use a tester to figure out which wire is hot with switch on.

    Ron (@RowdyRon ), i had a typo: it's 18w each. So (18x2)/12=3AMP
    I edited the post.

    @Stumpjumper : thanks.
Ok, I'll have to look for the hot wire after button is on.
Then, tap it from the red wire coming from the LED lights like @csuviper used on his write up?
I guess use the quick splice (blue)?

Red, the wires are thin. Not sure why you want back up lights on with cargo light. I spliced mine to the reverse light wiring at the tail light.

I want to be able to control the rear LED lights without having to add extra button.
Besides, I won't need LED lights on every time I am on reverse.

But do you really want them on every time the bed lights are on?

What I would to is connect it in the bed light circuit (connect it after the door switch) then add another switch to operate the rear leds. (I know you said you didn't want one)

This way you will have the ability to leave the rear led switch on and operate it with just the bed light but if need be you to turn on just the bed light and not blind people that might be behind you.

I would recommend you use the add a circut that you were using earlier and then a switch like this 71dfdf8c287942952e4952f0a198b5a7_f5ebb28c29e0458dfbca5de3f0b0dbea76b67b4f.jpg just my thoughts

ok, so I am confused as to why your title says reverse LED back lights? Where did you mount them?

    Exactly!
Yes, I'll add 3AMP inline fuse.
