    Good morning

I have a 2004 Tundra Limited with 255k miles on it. Truck runs great with zero major issues over the years.

Looking for help in finding replacement cover and potential remedy in repairing / correcting the current condition. Attached is a picture I borrowed from a gent’s earlier posting that shows the typical issue.

Any help in providing a solution or guidance will be most appreciated.

    Thank you

If I'm recognizing that user info, it looks like maybe @KNABORES posted that.

I can give you the part numbers for new plastics if that's what you want? What's the issue, that outer piece separates from the inner, or is it the other way around?

It's the outer piece coming away from the inner piece; I know because it was already happening on mine from prior owner jello sliding his ass out of the truck instead of climbing down like a human. The inner piece is much sturdier, the outer piece on the other hand only attaches at the bottom and then has tabs that lock it to the inside piece--you can see the two broken ones on AR-Knabores' pic.

Also, if shifty can't hunt you up the replacement parts, you could always try JB Weld-ing or gluing a more robust plastic piece inside the inner piece so it juts out, then doing the same with the outer piece which you'd glue onto that. Or just bootleg it all to heck and drill matching holes and zip-tie-stitch them together.
