Morning all, I drove my Tundra for the first time in about a week this morning. Backing out of the driveway, all gauges went to zero momentarily, I got a Christmas tree of warning lights, CEL, ABS, TRAC, warning, and the center display showed "Brake controller error. If Towing, come to a safe stop."

I scanned the truck with my Scanguage III and got a U0155 Lost communication with instrument panel cluster (IPC) control module. The only other code was some generic that didn't have a number about all monitors completed, IE the emissions monitors like misfire and EVAP. I cleared the code, and on my 22 mile drive to work I had no other issues, no repeats of the cluster. I even stopped for fuel.

I haven't had anything like this happen prior, just curious if anyone else has experienced it? I do have a hypertech speedo calibrator installed, and when I went to reset it for my new tire size a few months ago it failed to update, so I am suspecting it may be an issue. I plan on removing it tonight after work, and I was going to replace it since it didn't update, so this might be the boot to the ass to do it. The truck does have a fair few of modifications to it but the speedo calibrator is the only one that I can see that may be related.

I searched the forum, and saw a couple other instances of the code but it was usually tied to other codes or issues like aftermarket radios. Scangauge U0155.jpg Mighty Mouse gauge cluster christmas tree.jpg

Hey did you ever figure out what the cause of the u0155 code was? Truck sat for about a month, just turned it on once a week and currently having the same problem with u0155. Removed my hypertech calibrator to eliminate as the problem but the code still comes up without it.

    I’d bet it’s a low voltage issue.

Going to warranty the battery tomorrow to see if maybe that's the issue.
