To keep it short, I got my truck in December. New to me 15 tundra TRD limited. I just hit 95k and am wondering what problems I should expect to run into or maintenance I should be aware of. Aside from some BS the dealership decided to leave me to deal with (seized ac, rotten exhaust flanges) she's been good to me for 20k. I did notice when I was underneath it that the RTV around the transfer case looked new ish. Point of concern? 4 wheel hi and low works just fine but she does take her time to shift into them from time to time.
It seems to be running a bit doggish lately and has developed a slight tick at idle. Sounds like a pulley but haven't got it to my shop just yet. Appreciate any info or insight

Can't say yet. No issues for me yet. Fingers crossed.

Id just change all the fluids if I bought used cause you don’t know for sure when the last time it was done and what they used. You can check for the cam tower leak. These engines tick at idle and it seems like certain oil viscosities make it louder.

See if you can get a carfax or look up service records. Toyota might let you online by vin or go by a dealer and ask them. But if the trans was replaced by someone else like some local shop, it might not have been reported.

Swap out your spark plugs, replace fluids as others have mentioned, air filter (assuming you do this at oil changes).

The tic is the tensioner I believe. It is a common occurrence and all of our engines sound a little like diesels.

It takes mine a min to switch over 4x4 modes.

I changed my TC fluid, and 4x4 and 4LO switches are fast and smooth. Seems better than before, but might just be me imagining it

Thanks for the info y'all. I've gone through all the fluids, just did an oil change and the top end tick has definitely subsided a bit. Going to go the plugs soon.
Also I'm curious what aftermarket exhausts anyone's used that are worth the money. Mines about done and needs to be replaced soon.
And any tips for improved mileage would be appreciated. I've been juggling replacing the intake with a K&N cold air, or potentially getting a hydrogen generator kit. Haven't found any vids of people's experience with the Gen 2.5 on YouTube

I am no expert, and I support you spending your money how you see fit, but from what I have seen and read, replacing the stock air intake (which is already a cold air intake) with the K&N provides no measurable gain.

I just got a 2015 1 year ago, 5.7, 4x4, 80k on it, had dealer do all fluids, gas mileage is 10.5 to 11 for me all city driving, from what I've read it's never going to be better, I didn't do plugs I don't think it's necessary for 20 or 30 k more miles, I'm new to tundras to, it's a great truck so far

    Too many, but not enough....
Like others said, fluids, filters, plugs. Detailed inspection of engine for any signs of leaks/wobbles will go a long way. Maybe replace some suspension components if necessary.
