I bought back my '21, needed a frame replacement to be made "whole". Long bed frame was 20K without labor so they called it totaled because who knows what other damage they may or may not encounter when putting everything back on the frame.
Cost me 19K, truck had about 19K miles on it and runs perfect.

Had to uninsured the truck for about a month while CoPart did their thing, was lucky to have a back up truck to drive while I waited.

I'm not fixing the frame, I'm rolling with it.

We had big hail here once a few years back but it was one hailstone about every 50 feet or so and my truck only took one hit, which chipped paint. I never reported it. Big hail is really rare where I live in Oregon.

Oops, didn't realize this thread was old, glad it worked out OP.

The hail broke the plastic cowl under the windshield so it was replaced. The passenger side is all “sealed” up but the drivers side seems open. Can anyone confirm this is how it’s supposed to look?

My brother in law had a Lexus sedan get pelted with large hail. They didn't total it but they should have. It was a pearl white color and damaged the truck, hood, roof and cracked the sunroof. It was repaired but the paint never matched the sides of the car. He ended up trading it in for a lot less than he could have if the paint matched perfectly.

    That sucks.

Should have invoked the Appraisal Clause/RTA(if the policy had it) or diminished value expert. Costs $650 or so to start and that is often paid by insurance company if your appraiser wins.

Hope to never go thru that process again, but I did learn a whole lot.

My truck is currently in the shop for hail repair. Total bill is around 13k.
