    At 108k atm
Performed 2nd front brake job at 105k
    Stock pads & rotors
    Around $300
Why can't everything be that simple?
    Rears are factory still

I just had my first brake job done at 11k miles for free. Squealing brakes were intolerable. Don't know what condition they were in before the change, but I'm happy to have fresh, new front pads and rotors that don't squeal and wake the neighborhood in the morning.

I had my breaks done at the 30km service and my breaks squeak every time I use them, it’s brutal.

    That sucks
I try to avoid hard braking for the initial 5000 miles after brake job (motorist behind me surely get annoyed) so the pads mesh with rotors slowly & at low heat

I've tried 'breaking in' new rotors & pads as many suggest & advise with mixed results
(Performing numerous light braking, then medium braking, then hard braking to set up the pads & rotors)

My take on this matter....when you buy a brand new auto, no one 'breaks in' the factory pads/rotors, rather most people gingerly accelerate & brake when an auto is brand new because we don't want to abuse/damage a brand new ride & as a unintended outcome the pads/rotors get set in slowly & at low braking temps

I think the key to long lasting & quiet brakes is slowly 'breaking in' & avoid high rotor temps for the first 5-10k miles

Some more details on my gen3 brake history....ran the factory original pads/rotors up to 55k miles....had lots of meat left on the pads, but the rotors were horribly warped & using the brakes felt like death wobble hell at any braking speed over 50 mph....so I swapped out pads & rotors with oem

Ran that set for the last 50k miles
& as stated above I recently did my 2nd front brake job at 105k miles
Creeping up on 109k mikes atm

Wondering when I will be doing the rears.....on my 2013 tacoma I ran the factory original rear brakes until 350k miles
Wondering if I will get that far with the tundra rear brakes

    Weird.
My rear pads were done at 50K, but the fronts are still good (I'd say 30+% left) at 67K miles...

Tow this frequently, otherwise just "normal" driving 'round town/highways/etc.

    I'm at 109k
Pads & rotors bedded in so nice with gradual & low heating of rotors

I'll be getting my next brake service in 12 Months/50k miles

    Next up....fresh rubber for winter
