I have been looking for same but there really isn't a lot of space under the rear seat. This 8" Audison might fit, depending on where you have the divider. One poster in the non-JBL audio upgrade thread stuffed an Audison 10" box in the center of the bin but it looks like he may have cut the rear plastic panel to make it fit in there. Maybe we can make a custom box and buy an 8" or 10" driver, but with the limited underseat volume it might be hard to optimize.

The other thing I need to look at closely is whether this Pioneer shallow 10" or similar will fit behind the rear seat. I had one in my old Tacoma and it worked great for my purposes.

Behind the seat is what i am looking for indont mind taking the smaller pannel behind seat out and throwing it in the attic.

Ive seen a few under back seat ones but again dont want a dual subwoofer taking up the whole space and im not looking for my wife hearing me imnthe driveway from the bedroom bass. I have the kicker k.s speakers and a kicker amp kit i got during holiday sales so now im just looking for a sub and hardware for door and dash. Not looking for high end sound but i dont want the cheap $100 aftermarket radio powered $80 bestbuy pioneer specials and $40 pepboys sub that dont sound any better than stock sound that ive delt with for years. Finaly i got a new car of my own nstead of my wife getting them and im not going cheap but not overly expesive either.

A local shop can make you one just as easy, especially if you know what sub you want like a tw10- jl or whatever. That way they can dial in the volume right

love JL but that blows, I don't want to lose my storage, they really should add a thin 10" for behind the rear seat to replace the stock location, that way hybrid owners could also have one.

Im thinking of selling all my gen 2 system as well, thats what I had for that thin 10" behind the seat

I think the problem with utilizing the factory sub location is that there's no room. No way to get the appropriate volume for any 8" or 10" sub to function well. Not enough depth for proper mounting and too many obstacles to work around. If JL's engineering team couldn't figure it out I would venture that it's relatively impossible.
