Nope, tactfulness often wastes time....no need to sugar-coat.

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but there has to be a nicer looking option for fender flares for the 3rd Gen. For me the debate would be over already. I am a Canadian :canada:sorry about that.

Yeah, I feel like this would only work with 37s and a negative offset… there’s a few videos of the same setup I just mentioned. But I’ll never have more than a level and 35s
Again, we’ll see tomorrow. But as of right now I think I’ll be buying some goof off and installing the stock fender flares.

Installed a quick connect flag mount for driving on the Northwest Dunes. 3D printed an anchor for the bedrail and then aluminum angle iron for the flag mount.

Man, can you return those? they kind of different to say it nicely. Unless you are planning to have 6 inch lift, custom offset wheels with 37s they would not look good. Imho...
Keep them only if you like it, rest of the world can cry, lol

Yeah that’s why I only put on the rear.
Honestly don’t care about what others think, I had a look in my head for build and this ain’t it. Doubt I can return them but oh well. Luckily they came off easily and it’s not too much effort. I do like the matte carbon fiber but those were just too much.

Can’t fit 35s yet. Waiting on suspension. It’s got 33.8/11.2/17 (285/75/17) on there right now and it’s JUST enough room.

It’s really not that bad with the new tires/wheels. Still a little too loud for me so took them off.

Pic with them off? They don’t look terrible. I think it’s the carbon fiber that takes away.

From Timbren to Sumo Springs. I will tow my track car on 10-4-5, so I will update my thoughts then. The Timbren beat me too much in daily driving.

    I
just did this yesterday myself. Not exactly what I was hoping. Didn’t know they would make contact all the time. Will see how they effect my off-road experience.

The Timbrens SES are Rated Capacity: 6,000 lbs
The SumoSprings are The SSR-631-40has a 1,400 lbcapacity when compressed at 50%
They have to be softer than the Timbrens.

Yes sir I’m sure they are but they will still limit upward travel. I was under the impression that they would sit an inch or two off the axel while at rest. But haven’t tried them out yet. Fingers crossed.

Ah, yeah maybe I didn’t consider the 150lbs of decked and tools in the back. Haha, oh well.

After installing them yesterday afternoon I had to make a 60-mile trip and took all back roads. To say I am happy with the ride results is an understatement, now we need to see how they tow.

Question for you guys that got bad mileage out of the oem tires. What brand were they?

My truck came with Bridgestones and I have had good luck with them in the past but I know that they are not all the same and I only have 1700 miles.

PS. I just ordered a set of running boards, pics and more to follow.
