Hello guys so I just joined the 2.5 gen club. I have a 1st gen tweaked up and now want to tweak the 2.5.

I definitely want to join the 37 club In the future so would like to know for the guys that run 37 what would you do differently?

What is the best lift for a street warrior to fit 37. Want it to ride smoothly and still go offload if needed.

I would like to keep a little rake snice I tow. Or have it level and get airbags so I don't have no sag.

I emailed Coach builder asking for his recommendation but didn't get a response.

Yes guys I did use the search function and read tons of threads. Just didn't see none that match my usage.

I almost tagged him - if you want 37s and functionality off road you need to get real comfy with a grinder.

I rub all my fender liners when flexed out on 35s.

@STravis - what size tires did you get to before cutting the fenders?

It's will bearly see off road, just like the look of 37s but if not a good idea I guess I'll do 35s. Just read alot of guys that regret not going 37s.

Everything you want doesn’t go together. 37s, soft ride, off road, on road, towing, rake. You have to pick the most important ones to you, and do that. Otherwise it won’t be good at any of them.

Totally understand and agree, on my 1st gen I'm running Bilstein 5100 with JBA UCA and icon AAL with air bags.

I'm looking for something better for the 2nd gen. Technically it will never see off road just like the look so that can be low on the list. Has to ride smooth not Cadillac smooth.

As for the rake has to be level or a slight rake for towing. Thinking level with bags or something better.

Like others have said, it's going to be choppy-choppy with 37's. I'm on 315/70-18 (35.6x12.4). Cab mount chop done, bumper trimmed up real good. Still rub a bit on the pinch weld. Also will rub in the rear when flexed real good. 37's would be worse, I'm sure.

If you drive fast enough over rough terrain you can self-clearance your fender liners...

You've got even more searching to do, and I'm sorry for sharing that. Smooth is way to personalized of a descriptor. More firm than stock or do you like the stock ride quality? Rake is probably the easiest part of the discussion, but how you get there is going to be on you to search more about, again.

Too much to address in detail for the front, but if you like the factory ride, go with a spacer lift up front or upgrade to something adjustable for a different experience. For the rear, you get to search new springs vs RAS vs Bags (with cradles!). If they don't give the desired rake, then consider upgraded shackles. IMO, factory rake (~2.5") becomes much less noticeable the more lift and bigger tire you have. Lots of threads showing lifts/tire sizes and lots of threads on the specific rear solutions for towing.

Tires... that's 1/2 of this forum all in itself.

I ran 37x12.50's with just a cmc and just barely cut the bottom corner of the fender by the cab mount underneath and had no issues. When I went up to 39x12.50 I had to relocate the body mount and cut 1.5" out of the fender if I remember right.

Yes sir, I'm searching everyday, snice its a different monster then my 1st gen. I don't mind a little more firm then stock. As long as I'm not jumping all over the place down the road. As for the rake yes that is easier to slove I could get new leaf pack or RAS. Was looking at the 8112/8100 but have to do a little more searching. Also will be calling Coach builder and see what's his recommendation.

I have no problem chopping up to make something fit as long as it's worth while.

Hey @Dave8699 I can throw together a novel here for recommendations, but I encourage you to give me a buzz when you get a chance. I'll hit you with about 20 questions on how you plan to use the truck, and can make recommendations from there. You can also fire away with questions of your own. The 8112/8100 is a solid and very popular setup, and you can't go wrong there. Happy to help.
