Has anyone else experienced a slight throttle lag when at a stop sign or coming to a complete stop?

When it's my turn to go, I press the gas to a slight hesitation in the throttle response and then it jolts everyone in the truck backwards.

Not very often when I go to pass someone on the highway, there's a good delay before acceleration then it downshifts and accelerates very aggressively.

I've ruled out operator error by having a few others drive my truck.

Is there any fix to this?

Mine had the lag on highway/passing situations. Banks pedal monster smoothed it all out. Even on the lower settings (I'm at City 4) it makes the response more consistent.

I looked at those. Which version did you get? Is there any real difference between the $295 or $695 model?

Yes. I just asked to schedule an appointment.

    1. Engine/Drivetrain:
      1. High Oil Pressure – they did a software update last visit, but it did not fix.
      2. High idle - RPM is near 1,100 in park and around 800 in gear. It does go to a more normal rpm range more than not.
      3. Hesitation – still have the issue of when I am slowing down to cross lanes to get into a parking lot, but from a slow roll, when I hit the gas it feels like it will stall out. Happens randomly.
      4. Vibration – Still have issues with the vibration that also feels like stuttering/out of round/misbalanced tire but does not change as much with speed (Tech confirmed on last ride along and a transmission flash was preformed) did not fix.
      5. Slamming into gear – the high idle RPM makes putting into gear very jarring.
    2. Tires/Alignment:
      1. Still having horrible outer edge wear. Tires/alignment was checked last visit and I was told everything is fine. I have gone about 3k miles since last service and the outside edge is dramatically worn more. My first set of tires were junk before10k miles and I failed 1st inspection, I use studded tires in winter with less than 5k miles on them, and my new Michelien Trails have the same wear as every tire put onto the truck.
      2. Feels to pull to right.
      3. To prolong life, let me know if tires should be flipped over and new alignment done.
    3. Brake fluid – Extremely low. Just had 20,000 mile check done, and it did not show up.
    4. Not Charlie’s Toyotas fault. Need some pins that hold the inner door panel on. I had a nameless Toyota dealership “fix” my door trim. I ended up with missing pins and scratched up paint. I will pay for these pins.
Like you, I would rather find the problem and fix vs buying some crap module to mask a problem.

Did your dealer find a solution to your hesitation issues? I have the same.

Thanks for linking this! I had a great service tech at my local dealership who I could normally talk to and ask these questions. But unfortunately he left to another dealer and I'm not sure where. I would love to know where he went so I could ask him about this. He'd for sure have an answer and I would be able to post a great solution.

In the mean time, I'll keep reading that thread. It doesn't appear that switching to Sport/Normal/Eco had any great affect, but I might give that a try on the next drive. Thanks!

those pedal deals don't fix the lag you are talking about. Tow+ doesn't have it though
