Nope...just trying to help others. My flares tore my paint up pretty bad when I had my 2013. It was almost down to primer in a couple of spots.

 

Is it legal there to run blue and red lights?

Yes, they just can't be strobing. I've yet to be pulled over and I have been at red lights behind and facing local PD, Constables, and DPS.

 

Changed the front rotors and pads at 67k and discovered I have a cat guard installed!

No pics but replaced the cheap cone paper filter that came with the stillen intake to an AFe dry filter. I did not realize how overdue it was.

 

Not sure about that. Lots of cops just don't pull you for it unless it's blatantly obvious your trying to impersonate first responders.

I believe DOT regulations mandate white and amber with no other colors present on the front of your car. I know jurisdictions that mandate cops run solid red and blue (non strobing) at all times when operating.

My experience is that in a large city most cops ignore the ticky tac stuff. But run by a state trooper out in the sticks and you can guarantee a ticket for any and everything.

 

Ok, but I run out in the sticks everyday and never get pulled over. The town I work in has 800 people in it and that's probably a stretch. The ISD has all of 4 campuses.

 

Only time you’ll get popped for something like those lights is if the cop is trying to find an excuse to pull you over.

 

How is your ride with the RC kit compared to before the lift? I want to do something to mine other than the dealer/port/regional package 2" spacers to get it closer to level. The most off road I do is driving on the beach and maybe the odd farm path.

 

Sounds good , I always have to reconfig my truck a lil bit when I know I'm heading out of the city lol.

 

New rear abs sensor main harness, new abs sensor guards since mine have been taking a beating. Unfortunately passenger rear abs sensor bolt snapped in the axle so drilled it out and going to weld in it closed and retap it. Canceled my harness bar from evil mfg and going to make one I had in mind locally.

 

Didn't get a chance to do it yesterday. HD delivery took all day to deliver my new jigsaw but got it done this morning.


I'll probably trim a little off the right side.

 

That looks nice! I like the idea of being able to see how dirty the filter is getting.

I’ve been spending so much time working on the FJ I had to do something for the Tundra.

Get a deep magnetic 10mm socket and a 3m eraser wheel. Hit me up if ya want any other suggestions. Also you will cuss I promise

a plastic putty knife helps also.

Lastly roll up the back window before you use the eraser wheel. @TRDFerguson thought this was not useful information
