Finally gave up on Gm trucks all together. Had a 2010 suburban plagued with issues then upgraded to a 2015 Denali an absolute nightmare with the transmission and truck shaking violently at highway speeds. Fixed it sold it immediately taking a huge loss of course. Anyways I'm actively looking for a gen 2 sequoia platinum preferably 2012 and up. I have about 20k dedicated to purchasing rather not do payments.

So with all that said besides the regular things someone would inspect buying a used truck, is there anything specific to sequoia I need to look for? I'm in the north east and I'm only looking for 4wd trucks from the south so I wouldn't have to worry about rust too much. And last question should I avoid flex fuel models or it doesn't matter?

2104 to 2017 is what I looked for, Platinum. I ended up finding a 15 Platinum for 19k. Just figure what features you want, I wanted the air bag rear so I was looking at Platinum's.

Flex doesn't really matter, I have had two now without any issues, I just never use it.

Look for water pump and belt if its higher milage. Listen for ticking near the front bottom if the oil changes haven't been timely, chain tensioner can get clogged down there. If oil changes and regular maintenance have been done they are pretty solid.

And rust, the less the better.

Thanks looking for a black one with the red rock interior. I see the 2010-2012 years for around d 15k with over 250k. I'd love to find a 2015 for under 20
