Anyone buy from Toyota Spare Parts on FB?

I'm about to buy from these guys, but they go through PayPal family and friends and are cheap. Worried I'm gonna get scammed lol

If they want you to do that report them to ebay and run like hell.

The reason I posted here is because I had a handful of other members in these tundra groups across 2 separate groups say they have used them for parts. I stayed on guard and didn't go through with it. I posted here because we can "vett" members. Did my due diligence.

I think it was more sarcasm than being a total dick. Take it with a grain of salt. That being said never send money friends and family to almost everyone. I’ve been scammed on forums (never this one) eBay Facebook and Craig’s list. Lucky I paid with fees even if I covered the cost because I got every penny back.

 

It's the internet. If a price is too good to be true it is. If a vendor (I won't even pay members with it) asks you to pay for GOODS & SERVICES with FRIENDS & FAMILY payment, walk away.

Your Due Diligence isn't asking a bunch of strangers on the internet if you should buy from a shady site using shady payment methods. F&F is about as safe as when the Credit Cart companies ask you to pay in Bitcoin or Apple Gift Cards.

I'm not being a Dick. I'm being blunt and honest, trying to save you from making a mistake here and in the future.

 

It’s the internet. If you’re easily offended, this isn’t the place for you. You will get a wide variety of responses, you have to sort them appropriately. Same is true for the deals. A wide range of things available, you have to sort them. Posting here was a good idea as it helps the vetting process. I’m not buying anything from Facebook from someone I don’t know and paying friends and family style. Some deals ain’t worth it.

I've bought things from fb before from vendors or collectors in my other groups like celica alltrac or vehicles like that. Some of us in those groups have experience with those vendors unique to our group. Then again they're rare cars and these aren't rare trucks so I can see how there wouldn't be a special vendor.
If a handful of our members here said they'd used them, I'd have considered it. But I told them to shove it lol

 

That fb seller is the biggest scammer. Friend of mine got scammed big time from him
