Does anyone have this issue with the new Ios18 CarPlay where your now playing format is messed up? I like the screen before Ios18 where it was bigger

Yes I regret updating. I would wait until one or two updates. Hopefully they fix the bugs.

I don't use CarPlay, but I've noticed since I updated to IOS 18, my phone randomly disconnects from the truck in the middle of a call and then will fail to reconnect to Bluetooth. Very annoying. Apple ain't what it used to be, but it's still better than an Android.

I've had problems with phone calls since iOS 18 update. Like it's choppy and unusable. The screen kinda freezes and it will hang up on the phone screen on the truck. If i unplug the phone and use bluetooth it's fine.

Update 18.0.1 is out now. You might try installing that and see if it helps with the stability issues. I doubt that it will help OP's frustration. Apple had made changes to the Music app a few versions back that I didn't care for as far as presentation, but it didn't affect the display on the HU when in CarPlay. (But I also don't view Now Playing in full screen. I have a Kenwood HU, and I view Now Playing in a widget view, unless I have navigation on screen. That doesn't help OP's issue at all).
