Going to install my RCI skid. Just realized it mounts to the crossmember I jack my truck up with to rotate tires. I have the aluminum one. Guess I’ll just have to jack up each side on the frame one at a time? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

    Do you have ramps?

I think the main goal is a tire rotation.

Really depends how much of everything you have and how many tires you can have off the ground at once. The long way but requires the least jacks/jack stands. Use the spare to replace the first tire. Its driver front to passenger rear, passenger rear to passenger front, passenger front to driver rear, and finally driver rear to driver front. Right? If so, with the spare in rotation you would just have to jack up one corner twice.

I generally use ramps for just the oil changes. But still use the crossmember below the rci skid when I need to jack up the truck. Metal plate attached flush to the crossmember, I wouldn't anticipate issues.

I jack mine up with the alum skid in place, no issues so far.

Same here. I just use a 2-3 foot 2x4 as a (probably unneeded) buffer and line it up with the bolts as good as possible. No issues.

Ah I misunderstood; thought he was asking about jacking up to install the skids

I jack up lower control arm. It is beefy and does not mind a 2 ton floor jack under it.
