    I used the Fel-Pro kit and it worked great! No leaks whatsoever. I hope your project is coming along well.

    Ask around your local auto shops, I was gonna do mine but a good mechanic I trust was only charging about $550 cost & labor. Probably save me a few busted knuckles and a few bits of rage lol

    It’s actually a pretty straightforward job. I would recommend OEM parts, they’re not expensive at all. One thing to note is that if you order new OEM bolts for the valve covers, they come with new rubber grommets already installed. Easier than trying to replace the grommets on the existing bolts. Also, as socketman said, you need new tube seals too. I think it took me 5-6 hours on my wife’s GX470 with the same 4.7 engine.
