    Hi everyone,

I can NOT loosen this nut to do an alignment on my 2014 Tundra. I got it loose to where the nut will turn the whole tie rod but can’t get it to loosen to be able to turn the nut on the tie rod thread. Is there any tricks to get the nut to turn on the tie rod threads? It’s like the nut is welded to the threads from over the years of it not being loosened. Thanks in advance!

Doesn't work. Metals meld into each other, only heat can break it.

So I tried to heat it today and it will NOT budge. When I put my adjustable wrench on the tie-rod and rest it against something solid, I hammered the nut but it would just turn the whole tie-rod because the wrench wouldn’t hold it in place. I heated it for like 30 seconds to 1 minute max. Should I heat it a lot longer until the nut turns red?
