I recently installed my Westcott Desgins kit on my 22’ Platinum with AVS. One of the main hurtles I had to overcome was the bolt out of the top of the strut with a Wire that runs through it. Breaking it loose with a wrench did not work, it would spin the whole strut inside. I determined I needed an impact, so I took an old 19mm (12 point) socket I had laying around and cut a slot in the side to accommodate the wire. It worked perfectly. Hope this helps someone out , I spent A WHILE trying to get it off. I’ll attach a photo below.

Do you have a photo of the top stud where the wire goes on? There has to be a way to hold the strut shaft while loosening the nut.

The shaft is spinning inside of a plastic boot. Both at this point are inside of your partially compressed coil. I even attempted to squeeze the plastic boot to hold the strut shaft, unsuccessfully.
