Hey all- had a quick question.

Bought a used 2020 tundra with an aftermarket warranty (7yrs / 70k powertrain)

    Dealer had 255 70 18s when I purchased.

7 months later(13k miles) the outside edges of the 2 front tire went bald (I neglected to rotate them - I bought new at discount tire. They upgraded me to 275 70 18s (bfg ko3) - salesman and myself thought they filled the wheel wells better.

Will this void my warranty if the dealer finds out? I see people posting new trucks with upgrade tires (new as in just purchased and clearly under mfg and or afyermarket warranties) - I'm assuming no and ill be fine, but I wanted to check thoughts to see if I need to make sure I swap them out before going in for a rim touch up (got some curb rash and I purchased the unlimited rim fix coverage).

Thanks for any help / thoughts!

If I remember correctly, you can change one tire size from stock with no warranty problems.

    Truck Warranty won't be affected.

Rim wear/protection warranty, may be a different story. I'll be shocked if they honor the rim protection after changing tire sizes. There will some fine print in the contract somewhere, stating you have to be on stock tires.

I got sucked into that when we bought our truck. Never again. I'll take the vehicle and absolutely nothing else.
