Is there anything I can do with this? 22 limited trd, started at like 3k miles keeps getting worse. Looks like hammered dog shit when I wash it now.

    Prevent or fix?

Truck needs mudflaps of it doesn't have them. Mudflaps plus running boards, even better.

Besides that maybe deep clean, bug and tar and clay bar the panel to see what you really have to work with. Sometimes gunk that's really baked in that looks like paint damage will come out with elbow grease.

If that's really all chips and you can't live with it don't see a fix other than a repaint.

to prevent this, running boards and bigger mud flaps. I have 295 falken at3w’s (looks like you may have similar tire brand) and with the above installed I have none of this.

Sucks it started even before I got new tires. Stock tires, bought in March. 2 months of snow roads did that much. Thought it was just salt spray until I cleaned it up good and realized it was chipped to shit

Also could increase the ppf coverage in that area, as OEM is too little.

Is it really chipped paint? The PPF portion looks identical to the painted portion..... :monocle:

from owning a high mileage 2nd Gen Tacoma that saw a lot of backroads from me, I can assure you the PPF will get little chips like the OP has. It’s more from fine sand/road debris etc. not big rock chips. It will have a white appearance like OP’s truck.
