2918 Tundra CrewMax 4WD

Just got back from Lithia Toyota in Medford regarding malfunctioning TBC. The flawed unit is well known on this site, but the service dept insists on charging $1,200 for a replacement. I’ve owned 5 Toyotas and their policy on this item has got me so frustrated I can’t see straight. Anybody have any positive experience on this matter?
