I need to replace my bed. So decided to pull the old one and make sure the frame was good enough before a found a new bed. That of course led to a lot of clean up work.

Tundra beds are as scarce as hens teeth around here.

My question: Is the 6.5 bed from a TRD the same as an SR5? Are they interchangeable?

This picture about sums up the project. :)

Looking pretty rough after 17 years and yes I know I need tires.

There is always one bolt that gives you a problem. The torx stripped out. So had to grind it off. Was able to grind the bolt square and hammer a 3/4" bolt on it and didn't even need the welder. :D Had to cut the bumper bolts off as well. Need to get a new shell anyway.

After hours (and hours) with the needle scaler and a coat of rusty metal primer it is looking much better. I still need to do the coat of black yet and fix a few things while I am under here.

I bought this rig almost 5 years ago. It only has 175K miles so hope to get a few more years out of it. It's just getting broken in.

I would think it's the same. @Jeff_5_7 may know.

Trd and sr5 bed should be the same. Only difference should be stickers come with the trd bed.
