    Hey all,

Wanted to know if anybody has thoughts here. For the last few days, I've noticed that my rear driver's side tire looks wet. At first I thought I was imagining things, but this has happened for the last few days. Driver's front tire is dry, but the rear has some sort of liquid on it.

Has anybody had this happen? Is there some sort drain that dumps out near the rear tire? Am I missing something obvious that's going to make me look like a doofus?

Washing it off and seeing if it returns would be an idea.

Looks like you might have rubbed the sidewall on a hot curb and some of the oil in the asphalt is "rubbed in"

Doesn’t look wet, looks like it kissed a curb almost all the way around.

    What’s wrong with stock?
It looks like a bad case of tire bloom. I have same tires and they have this same type of brown blotchy appearance. They give the appearance of being wet, but are not. The passenger side rear is the worst for me as the four tires don’t bloom the same amount.

I spray it down with formula 88 (degreaser) and give it a good scrub. The degreaser doesn’t affect the tire and most of the bloom will wash off with a quick spray. You can use a tire dressing to help keep the bloom down.

Looks like curb rash to me. Let me guess, your wife drove it recently?

303 protectant will keep that tire good for a long time.

Agree 100% with Soflo… hit that sucker with some kind of tire cleaner and a scrub brush. I always have a spray bottle of good old Bleach White, been around forever and works great for cleaning tires even if you don’t have white sidewalls or white letter tires. Super Clean in the gallon jug is more cost effective, just watch getting it on your paint or aluminum as it’s a pretty aggressive cleaner..

Wash and scrub the tire and if you want a great "brand new" tire look go with the 3D Ceramic Matte Tire Shine. I use it every few months and since my truck is Midnight Black I didn't want any tire sling. I despise the wet greasy look and how dirty it gets just driving and of course most sling so I recommend this for a great looking tire with no bloom or greasy look.
