I have a 2008 tundra sr5 4.7 liter. I went to get gas the other day and the truck would not start. It made a lot of banging sounds when I jumped it so I had it towed to the house. I changed the starter and could hear it trying to start but never turn over. I changed the starter, oil sending unit, spark plugs, battery terminals changed the battery, purge valve. Coils seem fine injectors seem fine. Also tested all fuses and relays Don’t know what else to do anyone have any tips? Or what I should check next?

Banging sounds when you jumped it? From the motor?

Could you elaborate on the banging sounds it made when you jumped it?

What’s the mileage? Any codes? Any rattling of timing chains prior? How’s the coolant look, full and clean?

We took the manifold off and it looked like the starter fell apart. The motor turns so I don’t think it is seized. It’s not throwing any codes. The coolant is full and looks clean. It has around 150k miles.

It sounded like metal rolling around in the dryer
