Installed the Icon 51200 expansion pack yesterday. RH side went smooth but of course the LH side gave me fits. Lower shackle bolt was frozen in the spring bushing. Wasn't able to get it loose and didn't want to tear the rubber since I didnt have a replacement handy so ill have to go back in once I get some new bushings.

Ill update once I get some miles on it.

I second both of these. I have these same springs sitting in my garage. Just waiting on the front coilovers/rear shocks to arrive. I have a camper shell also plus a bed drawer and was curious what you end up in overall lift and ride quality. Thanks for sharing your install.

I left the main spring on the truck during install. It’s a bear of a job by yourself, but I did all four shocks, front coils, and these in a day.

Ride quality is good. I got about 1” of lift with these and the stock shackles.

I don’t have a before photo, but this is how it looks with about 2.5” of lift in the front.

Edit: the factory installed rock catchers/aka steps have been removed.

Thanks everyone for tge positive feedback.

Only driven limited miles over the last week but initial impressions are an immediate improvement in ride quality.

I'll get some up soon to compare the before and after stance. You can definitely see a visible difference in ride height.

Brain fart resulted in no pre installed measurements.
    :annoyed:
But the eye test says roughly 1" of lift. Maybe slightly over. Keep in mind that is with the cap on and bed empty so probably closer to the advertised 1.5" if you're not running a topper.
I had intended on doing a more in depth install but after running into the frozen shackle bolt I went into full Get'er Dun mode!

Agreed. About 1" of lift. I saw a few videos of doing the install with the main still installed on the truck but the ones I watched the installers seemed to struggle with center bolt so I opted to pull the spring. But I was second guessing myself when trying to reinstall the left side with the frozen shackle bolt. :censored:

It felt more like 400lbs with a 2 man install...

It took me a while to figure it out, but I eventually slowly pressed the springs together while maintaining my center bolt alignment. When I did this it was a piece of cake.

Not the same angle in both pics but you can see the difference. Its given me back a slight rake which I like.

I want the same thing, just need my stock tire get to 5/32, then I could get my lift and tire done at the same time.
I may need to go outside and do some burnouts in 4wd.

Front is Bilstein 5100 on the top setting and 5100 in the rear which put the truck right at level. Putting any weight in the back or towing gave it a squat so I added the ICON AAL to bring back some rake.

I wanted to do 6112 in the front but just didn't have the cash to do suspension, wheels, and tires. I'm happy with the ride so it all worked out.

ICON 51200 and +1 CB shackles in the rear with RC coilover and UCA 3.5 kit. I let 4WP do the install. I've done every other lift on my Explorer and 4Runner, but opted for someone else to do it due to time. This is how it sets with only the leftover parts in the bed.

I know this is an old post but I just had the Icon 51200 pack installed and feel a slight vibration when driving……almost like when you drive on a rumble strip but no where near to that extreme.

anyone else who installed this leaf pack experience this? I had a shop do it as I didn’t have the time and was having the icon 2.5 front coil overs, uca’s, Trd FRONT sway bar and the rear struts done too, so that’s why I opted to have a shop do it……

pictures to come……just swapped over the 20” alloy Toyota factory wheels from the ‘07 to the 2020.

Running Nitto TerraGrappler 275/55/20’s on the 2020 now…….

I know the shop told me the mechanic was having a bear of a time with the passenger side leaf pack for some reason, mentioned something about the axle……trying not to move the axle when bolting the leaf pack on or something.

Last thing to do to this 2020 is all 4 inner panels from the doors swapped from the 2007 to the 2020.

I want the little trays on the front doors and the door bins/ cup holders on the rear doors……..

Gotta figure out something for the front cup holders as well, they are more suited for tea cups not a large coffee mug!!

Jus had a spring break on my 07 and this kit sounds like a savior. I don't really have the means to pull off the entire leaf springs nor do I want to but how difficult was it and did you do1 side at a time?

I did these myself a couple weeks ago. They were fairly simple. I did one side at a time, using the paper instructions. I had read that the axle can roll if you try both at the same time, so I did each side to completion before moving on to the next side.IMG_0134.jpg

I'm getting ready to put these on my 21 Limited. Got any tips? How long did it take you and what's your level of experience? Did you have access to a lift or did you use jacks? Sorry for the 20 ?s, there's not much out there on this specific install.

Yo! I have a medium level of experience in suspension work, but I did this install in my driveway. I used one jack, with jack stands holding the frame up and the jack to raise and lower the differential. I think it took me 3 hours, because I was racing the heat.

My tip is to do one whole side and then the other. I heard that if everything is disassembled on both sides, the axle can roll and you’ll have a hell of a time reinstalling. Everything went pretty smoothly actually, the instructions were somewhat helpful. I downloaded them as a pdf I found on Icon’s website.

Ok cool. Shop quoted me 3 hrs per side. I was like well I have all the tools, also have the time. I'll do it myself. Can't be all that bad. Just never done it before.

I had never replaced leaf springs before. Take your time and use your head. You’ll be good.
