So I just got my 06 tundra v8 back in good working order from a nasty hesitation issue due to a very dirty throttle body. Cleaned the throttle body and ran the truck for about a week without issue. I filled up again and a few days later I started getting a P0418 code. Now I have lived through the air injector replacement journey once before and had it done at the dealer so I am baffled to see it again at 168k (replaced at 100k). What I find odd is that if I start cold I get the code. I then reset the code using my scanner then turn off the engine. When I start the engine again I do not get the code. I can drive the truck, stop and turn off the engine for a bit then start again and I don't get a code. Leave it all day or over night and I will get a code on start. Any ideas is this indicates something other than the air injector blower? Perhaps not related but I filled the tank with new gas and added that "injector cleaner" from the gas pump before this started showing up.
