Recently purchased a 2024 tundra TR five. It has a 32 gallon gas tank, but by all information provided by the fuel gauge and the miles left to be driven on tank. Do not match up with the 32 gallon tank has there been any Fixes provided by Toyota for this issue?

You have a reserve of about 5 gallons, your miles to empty will be based on around 27 gallons. You’ll see if you drive it to empty it will take around 27 gallons to fill it back up. They do that to keep the pump cool and so you don’t run out. You can go plenty more in a pinch when it’s on empty and your range will change based on your last few driving habit MPG’s. Also there is a TRD package but never heard of a TR5. Enjoy your truck. What does your range say when you fill it up?

The first time my gauge was showing less than an eighth of a tank and less than 100 and miles to go on that tank and it only took 18.8 gallons to fill it up. When I fill it up the register says I have 450 miles for that tank. it should be well over 500 miles For 32 gallon tank . Not much use of having a 32 gallon tank if my gauge tells me I’m empty and I’m supposed to know how much more gas is in the tank. I get to Delaware every once in a while and gas is $.40 a gallon cheaper than here in PA. I like to fill up down there and not have to put gas in in Pennsylvania

That’s seems about normal for your fill up range. Again you still have 5 gallons in there once it hits “refuel”, which means at 18 mpg you could still go another 70-90 miles putting you over 500 for the tank. I recently drove from Boston to Penn State and put 520 miles on my tank before I filled up. All Tundras, all years are like that. It may seem weird if your new to Tundra but it’s reassuring knowing you’d have to be extremely ignorant to run out of gas in one of these trucks. My wife’s car has maybe 1-2 gallons left when it’s empty and she had run out a few times. That is a royal pain in the ass in so many ways not to mention it’s terrible to be sucking up all that crap at the bottom of the tank

Also 18.8 gallons? Are you sure you have a 32 gallon tank. What package truck do you have

Verified 32 gallon tank. Those numbers indicate 10+ gallons in reserve. Totally ridiculous. Had it back to the dealer and had it “ reset “ , no difference. They said they never heard of it before. I find that hard to believe.
