What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I’ve got a small pile of goodies stacked up for the truck, just waiting for some cooler weather to start working on it.

 

Washed yesterday. Changed oil today. Very easy up the ramps in 4L. Installed a Fumoto valve last time. Big improvement.

 

Received and installed the TRD Air Flow Accelerator. Very easy to do without any modifications.
Will confirm if there is any noticeable change this weekend.

Did you remove the filter in the upper half of the air box too?

 

I left it in for now. I included it in an order when they had the 25% off sale and free shipping, so for the cost, it was worth the 10 minutes to install. Curious to see if it makes any difference at all.

 

I added the accelerator, removed upper filter and then grab some tow/haul button for a noticable difference. Probably more of the tow/haul button but it sounds a lot better

 

I did not disconnect my battery prior to swapping the parts. Did you?

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive so that I can install it with the Stillen.

 

I ordered mine on the last day of the sale and it was delivered on Wednesday. (Fred Anderson Toyota)

 

I didn't think of adding it with the Stillen until I saw some other posts about it. I ordered it through the dealer but he said they were backordered. It has been a week so I will call them today.

 

Which Stillen did you go with? I thought the Stillen changed the intake to the front grill area?

 

I hadn't checked this thread in a bit. Last page I was on apparently a lot of SPC UCA talk. I just am BLOWN AWAY that UCA's are costing 1k+++ at this point. Glad I am done with that type of mod-life, wouldn't be able to feed the kids and drive my truck at the same time. What is an all in full blown suspension these days 6-8k? You boys better be using the damn things, cause you ain't getting a penny back at the dealer or private sale for a modded truck.

The SPC UCA has been redesigned and that one is $1K. The original tubular style has gone up in price over the last couple of years and runs about $750 on the remaining inventory.

 

I was trying to wait for the accelerator but getting impatient lol. At the same time, I could do a performance/data review before and after the accelerator install.

 

That's how things were when I last paid attention a few years ago, I know everything went crazy, but I hadn't looked into lifts and suspension for a couple years. It hurts! Having done them in the past, I do know there is a real improvement from upgrading that stuff though.

I’ve never owned a vehicle less than 150k miles…typically go about 10-12 years and 250-300k. Resale value is the last thing I care about… I own things to use them, not keep them pristine for the next owner.

 

Hey, I saw somewhere you were throwing CB outer rods and a few extra goodies on your Pro... Did I miss somewhere what the goal or intentions were regarding the Westcott lift??? Are you dumping that and going w/something different or just adding to it??

Gotcha...you were referring to the accelerator or the Stillen?
