Good morning everyone, I’ve been watching this form in the first GEN form for a while as I’m searching for a replacement truck. In short a 2012 I came across for $9 ( 120k miles) in my area (GA). However, The front control arms and I’m guessing the Cam sleeve, ball joints and most everything connected will need to be replaced. If a shop would even touch this down here, if I had it professionally done for both sides, what roughly would that be? I have a good friend that owns his own mobile mechanic shop with a hoist we might be able to do, but I’m not sure if it’s past the point ( time, effort, cost) of it’s worth it. Frame is still in decent shape ( which is odd given the rust on the front, came out of the Miami area)

That would be a hard pass for me, but I'm not angry with myself enough to buy a rust bucket.

Not worth the money to repair all of the salt damage. Sea salt is as bad if not worse than road salt from the rust belt states. There are a ton of good southern trucks to choose from out there. This one is a goner.

Thank you everyone, I had that feeling in the back of my mind but was considering it only should the price come down and my mechanic friend and I were able to remove everything. Appreciate keeping me honest
