I am looking to get some parts off of Amayama but I'm worried about shipping cost, for those that have purchased from them did you get any surprise shipping cost or what they estimated is correct?

Sure seems like there are easier ways to get OEM parts. I dunno...

I use Amayama all the time to buy parts for my JDM 80 Series. The estimations are usually conservative so I often get refunds when the shipping turns out to be less than expected. The only time they've hit me with bigger costs was when a larger item like a fender needed to be shipped via sea freight.

Have you tried Partsouq? They're great as well.

No it's more large dimensions vs weight. And yeah I've noticed that even after shipping it's cheaper to buy from Amayama or Partsouq vs a US dealer.

I use Amayama, but I wait for a package deal.. no shipping surprises, usual shipping times are accurate.

OK. I investigated and I might be sold on using them in the future. Didn't know they existed.

I love Amayama! Typically the parts I've bought (including shipping!) are ~ half the price of domestic discounted dealers (Ourisman, et al) price BEFORE SHIPPING. It only works if you're planning a project and can wait a couple of weeks for parts.

I would compare prices. If part and shipping costs is higher than stealership website price than I would order there and pick up locally. If it's cheaper with Amayama, look at whatever part you need and add it in, consider it free.

When I lived in the lower 48 years back I would use camelback or mcgeorge....even my local dealer would sometimes match price those guys. Now the killer for me is my location..and shipping to alaska is not cheap, and places that say free shipping, do not include me. My one and only local dealer jacks prices way up. So if I can wait i will order from amayama or patsouq our watch for some super deals. Shipping big items can be out of the question. A friend need a rear diff out of the lower 48. 900 for the diff, 1200 to ship
