Amazon Basics Sound Deadener

Has anyone used the Amazon Basics Sound Deadener?
I am planning to use it for the sound deadener this weekend when I start my build but wanted to see if anyone else has used it? Seems to get great reviews... Just made in China.

 

I'm using it on my '24 Civic and so far pleased with the results. I'm adding a 5mm closed cell foam on top of the deadening material. You really only need to place it on certain areas. Large flat areas that resonate easily are where it works best. I've reduced the awful Goodyear tire howl in the back seat of my Civic Hatchback Sport by 3db so far. Only by doing the areas behind the rear seat back. Much of that was the foam probably.

 

Oh yeah I was going to use the Siless foam as well. I was going to place it a little behind the speakers then between the plastic door panel and the door itself.

 

I used Kilmat deadening material from Amazon. Less pricey than the name brand stuff but still a huge improvement.

 

I haven't done my doors yet but expect some improvement.

 

Check out the results from The Deadening Facebook group, but can be found on Resonix’s website. Resonix is def the best product currently, but Amazon tested surprisingly well for its cost, especially compared to other name brand products.
