    2024 Tundra Limited
    Greetings, all,

I bought a new 2024 Tundra Limited in black which is a big upgrade from my 2015 Ford F150 Lariat. In case it's helpful for anyone, here are my observations of some of the pros and cons.

    Ford F150 Lariat

    Pros
    - lots of space in the driver seat. Better visibility for a tall person.
    - I am missing the keypad for door entry and a solid remote start
    - tons of backseat space in the crew cab
    - better MPGs and a quieter engine

    Cons
    - quality. While I loved the design, I was spending more than I felt I should be to keep it going. Had to replace the fuel pump and other items. There were 4-5 recalls on the vehicle and one of them never seemed to get fixed properly ( life gate auto open issue)
    - a cover on the rear needed to be lifted every time you closed the lift gate

    Toyota Tundra
    Pros
    - so nice to have the big screen and GPS
    - the voice technology is now usable with Apple CarPlay
    - the U turn radius is so much better than the F150
    - the 3D camera set up is great
    - lift gate closes cleanly with an added cover
    - Toyota quality - hopefully this means lower TCO over time

    Cons
    - less space and driver visibility/headspace isn't as great
    - CarPlay won't always connect
    - RemoteStart is flakey regardless of whether I use the app or the key.
    - notifications from the App can't be seen later if you miss the pop up on the iPhone

Overall, I am happy and I expect a lot of years out of this beauty. I feel fortunate to have found this site so that I can find tips, fixes, and do some sharing.

    Many thanks for the add!

The turn radius threw me for a loop- I always thought I have heard folks say the 3rd gen tundra turn radius is awful!

stoked you are enjoying the new rig- I have been in many f150s and test drove several and they lack the “tough” feeling that the tundra has in spades.

Congrats on the new rig. But comparing to a 2015 model year anything seems pointless. Most full size truck manufacturers have changed 2 generations since then.

Well, I think it is interesting that a 2015 Ford is ahead of the Tundra on a few things (numberpad keyless entry, remote start, miles per gallon). No matter. It may not be valuable to you but I thought I'd share in case it was of interest to some. Best to ya and thx for the warm welcome.

Wasn't a dig, just more to your point. If the 2015 is ahead of the 2024 Tundra in some areas, imagine the 2024 F150 features against it! Sincere welcome aboard
