Yeah my driver side just happened a few weeks ago, luckily this time the whole thing didn't fly off so I have it taped up right now. Does anyone know the part number for just the clip part that holds the camera? At this point I'll just buy it myself and replace that part but if the only fix is to replace the whole mirror then I'm definitely gonna try to get them to do it under warranty.

Context: my passenger side flew off last year sometime and Toyota replaced it as good faith after some argument on my behalf.

    Lots of stuff!
So it seems that you are breaking off your cameras! :) Don't you like them?

The plastic clips are not great all over the truck and these ones don't like to go over 75 mph.

What's interesting is that we haven't heard of anyone, who doesn't have the mirror cameras, complain about the plastic cover flying off.

    Different cover with different(better?) clips.

Well..... same thing happened to me. Driving along at 75-80mph and all of a sudden hear banging on my passenger side. At first I thought I hit a bird or a bag with something in it had snagged my mirror. Then the banging suddenly stopped. Hit the offramp for my exit and when the cameras came on I noticed the right side was black. When I get home I saw that the entire lower panel had come off the mirror and luckily clean detachment from the connector. Just got back from Toyota and they're replacing the panel under warranty. They ordered the part and it'll be in tomorrow for install. I also checked the drivers mirror and it seems to be a bit bowed in the middle. I definitely recommend checking your mirror cameras if it hasn't happened yet.

I pointed it out to the Service Advisor. Bad angle but I circled it.20240827_110136.jpg
