No, across all the models as long as you have the JBL speakers. It's just the engine sound pumped in to either mask noise which is a separate feature I think and to simulate the V8 I guess. You can disable with Carista though

Shut mine off after a month or so, no regrets. I love how quiet the cabin is, and makes music sound that much better too. Left the Active Noise Cancellation on.

Makes me want to buy a Carista just to see the difference. Could pass it around to other members as a form of “paying it forward”, create a mailing list from one member to the next, lol.

Had the dealer disable the engine noise before I took delivery as I didn’t care for it when I took the initial test drive.
Any way to tell if Active Noise Cancellation is still enabled without Calista?

Yesterday test drove a 2024 Pro & 1794, both had that sound. During the first test drive (Pro) I got two blocks into it and immediately pulled over because I thought the truck had an incredibly bad miss/exhaust leak. The sound was not as prevalent on the 1794. Did some asking around at the dealership, got four different answers. Bought the Pro. Carista is out for delivery. Turning that scary noise off.

My son has one of my previous rides, we put in a massive subwoofer enclosure. Played a muscle car sound clip through it from YT, hilarious.

Totally worth it IMHO. I'm done with my Carista and I'd be happy to send mine on to someone else.

Asked the service writer at the dealership today if they would turn it off for me. He said he had only received this request one other time and had to ask a tech because he couldn't remember the details. Anyway, they where cool and turned it of. No regrets!!! All authentic engine and exhaust sounds now.

I turned mine off tonight, and I am not impressed with the turbo sound, pretty weak to say the least imo.

It's not a Pro Mod, it's a half ton. I can hear my turbos really well. Maybe stomp on it more

I had the dealer turn off the engine noise, and a neighbor bought Carista and we both turned off the seat belt alarm. FYI I wear my seatbelt while driving roads, but when on the farm is freaking annoying

I didn't try to sell it,I figured with this new generation I did want to sit on it for a few years till someone needed it,so I ended up scrapping it.

I put on Magna Flow Street Series ,with the duel black tips, looks great sounds great & yes you do get the droning @ 1,800ish till 2,100 RPM.
I don't really hear it and all, I get compliments from random people and also from new gen owners.I wouldn't go back to stock.

    Hope this helps ya.

    Yes 100%
Or you could drop in CAI from K&N and really hear them spool up and dump.

For the engine noise in cabin, does one need carista EVO or just the lower-end white (plain) carista?

My dealer turned mine off along with a few other tweaks at no charge in about 30 minutes. Truck is very quiet now. Really didn't realize how nice it could be without the ridiculous make believe engine sound. Any dealer that says it can't be done or will void the warranty, well I'd search for another dealer, that's a red flag.

Turned mine off soon after buying the truck using Carista. I ended up just doing the year of Carista so I can turn it on and off when I want. If I'm towing or driving mountain passes, I turn it off b/c the drone is annoying. Around town I prefer the engine enhancement drowning out the turbos a bit.
