Just got king 2.5 installed and cv axel replaced, noticed a small popping noise and saw this when I went under the truck.

should I be worried? Or can I keep driving on this.

I’ll put pictures of both sides, driver side is the one that looks worse.

What’s leaking? Just looks like residue that wasn’t cleaned during install

What they said. Is it liquidy or greasy? Spray it off real good and see if it returns.

Check the lower ball joint. Mine looked like that, but I was able to clearly see that it was torn/leaking so I had both sides replaced.

It’s like greasy thick residue. IMO it looks like a cracked lower ball joint.

my install guy said it looked worn out but nothing major and should be fine, do you guys agree? Can’t tell if he just wants me to wait for some new lowers haha

The ball joint itself can be replaced. Parts weren’t crazy expensive. I think like $70 a pop. Install will vary but I’d say 2-3 hour job for most shops.

Personally I don't think it's a big deal unless you find a crack or hole in the LBJ boot. Those things always ooze a little grease.
