My front steering wheel is shaking again when braking on high speed. It does not happen on like 40mph ish.......only 60 70mph......its more on curvy roads or braking downhill........it started around 22k miles....than i changed the bakes and rotors....it was good for 5000 ish miles and now it back!. Any idea guys? Thx.....i did get those ebay drill n vent $400 brake n rotor set.

Most likely lightly wrapped rotors again.
These trucks are heavy, they are known to do a number on rotors and your high speed shake can show up with lightly warped rotors because the little warp shows up more as the rotor rotates more often/faster through the brake caliper/pads.

Lower speed shakes usually just mean the warpage is even worse.

I've had this happen before as well on my Tacoma. I too first thought it was the rotors and after replacing them, I still experienced the shaking while braking. I took it to the shop and they determined that the wheels needed a road-force balance and the weights were completely off, so this may be the same case for you. I hope this helps!

Probably not rotors warping in the 5k miles you have driven. It is probably uneven brake material on the rotor. Do about 5-10 firm brake applications from speed- get up to 50ish then brake firmly (no lockup or skid) and brake down to about 5mph but dont stop....get back up to speed and repeat this process 5-10 times as you can. That will burn off the brake material and ensure it is even on the rotor. Bet that improves or eliminates the shimmy.

Proper air pressure and tire rotation/balance regularly is needed too, as well as front end alignment. Any of these things being off will induce shimmy on a tundra
