I have a crank, no start problem on my 14 SR5 CCSB 4x4. 108K miles and not a single issue until this morning. I have fuel in it and have disconnected the fuel line to the driver side fuel rail at the back of the engine. When I crank there is no fuel coming out of the fuel line. I verified 12 volts at the blue wire on the fuel control module. If I disconnect the red and blue wire connector from the control module. Run a 12 volt power wire and ground from the battery, can I simply connect them to this connector and expect my fuel pump to run?

Thanks for the suggestion but I changed it with a known good one, no difference.

Do you know of an iron clad way to test it?

Ok, update in hopes of helping someone down the road. If you disconnect the plug that has the red and the blue wires from the fuel control module and you jumper 12v to the blue and ground to the red it should run the pump. You have another connector at the top of the tank and one inside the tank. If you don't hear the pump running inside a very quiet environment You will need to drop the tank and check the other 2 connectors. You can also check the pump itself once it is removed from the tank. Mine tested good once I got it out of the tank but I am going to replace it to ensure it doesn't have this same issue in the near future at a less convenient time or place. I hope this helps someone else.

The problem is it only tested good after I got it out. It wouldn’t work while it was in its natural state telling me it’s either intermittent or that it had something lodged in it. Either way, I have been down that road before so I will spend a little money and buy a new pump and dielectric grease all the connections.
