There's an additional danger with veganism if the diet isn't closely monitored. Most vegetation has nutrients and antinutrients - lectins, phytates, and tannins - that hinder the uptake and metabolism of vitamins. Probably how those kids in the previous post got malnourished. Beans are loaded with phytates, and lots of vegans use those as a primary protein source. Meat doesn't have antinutrients.

news sources are supposed to be muckraker's for sure. Don't get me wrong, I'm not not advocating for veganism nor am I one. Sometimes you just get ahead of yourself and claim ridiculous shit so that's why I am playing devils advocate on this one. If you truly want to understand how to fuel your body as a vegan you can read Medical Medium by Anthony Williams. It's no where near terminal if done right. The same idiots eating to many oil based burgers are similar to the overweight fried food southerner's who are driving America's unhealthy trends.

    yes!!!

Wow, so it wasn’t just me that saw the disappearance of decent house-made veggie burgers?! Dang…

The best part about Impossible burgers is they reload your fart canister with new smells and sounds.

I almost ate a vegan sausage link once. I was shopping at Costco and could smell what I thought was delicious pork cooking, turned the corner to the next isle and saw the sample cart. I grabbed one and popped it in my mouth. I immediately spit the nastiness into a nearby trash can and said WTF is this? The nice little old lady serving them informed me it was a vegan breakfast sausage and that they were on sale. I had to restrain myself from beating up an old lady.

Not in Portland where pretty much every other dude rides and races bicycles. I shamefully have to admit that many of the guys at the local bicycle races have better looking and more toned legs than women cyclists. Not my preference, but just stating the facts. Must be all the very emollient moisturizer that they use?

The only reason i know is because one of my good friends has a condition where he has very dry skin on his hands. If he doesn’t moisturize something like every couple hours, his skin will tend to crack. Of course we make fun of him and mock him all the time about it.

Nerve blocker is still in effect, but slowly wearing down
Slept at an incline with my neck pillow (per doc instructions)
My wife is a saint. Kept checking on me every four hours to see if I need pain meds or anything else.
Turned tv off at 1A (Gia slept by my side all night…she never does that. Usually Gia will sleep facing the door at the end of the bed so she can see and hear anything that moves at night). Pretty sure dogs know when something isn’t right with their master.
Up at 830 (drowsy af but up) so I can watch my kids first scrimmage games.
Wife prepped my first meal for me and cut it up and all.

Walked really slow around the field as my balance is still slightly off from the nerve blockers.

New sling should here within two hours or so, allegedly.

Old peer of mine sent us a 12 pack of Crumbl.

Not saying your Dr. or their PA are this abusive, but when I got the bandage off my left shoulder, the PA just ripped it right off without any care at all. Took some skin with it. If I didn't have a bum shoulder, the PA (a dude) would have had a black eye. A few years later I had the right shoulder done by the same doctor, and I had my wife take baby oil to the adhesive the night before they were going to remove it. The bandage was essentially off when I went back in for the follow-up. The new PA, a woman, walked into the room with a bottle of baby oil and some Q-Tips...

......stopped at Z1 Offroad's setup at the Expo. The staff came in from Georgia. They brought their SC'd test bed Frontier Pro4-X taco and all other mid size truck killer with them. Stopped at Buc-ee's on the way back. Woo Hoo! Yes, you do see a Harrop/Eaton setup. Stock...310 hp. More than 400+ hp easy with SC. Justin would only say well over 400HP. Dyno specs to be posted soon on their site.

I had a Dr. do something like that. One of my many motorcycle boo-boos was a shattered wrist. I had a couple of pins that held it together in an X formation and stuck out of the skin. After healing I went to have the pins removed and the Dr. grabbed a pair of pliers. I asked him about maybe something to numb it first, but he said na, don't worry, bones don't have nerves. Maybe not, but the skin and muscle that the pins are also going through do. Hurt like a MFer.

That's how they took out my pins when I broke my wrist. Then they took a drill and pulled the pins for the external fixator out of the leg I had broken.

My most "enjoyable" pin reconstruction was when I shattered both bones in my lower left leg. They drilled through my ankle so the could insert a rod for leverage to pull the leg straight again, then go through the knee and drill out the Tibia and cram a 2' rod inside it. It was actually more painful when they went to take it out months later, breaking the knee open again and I guess it was stuck, cause they crushed the top of the pin with pliers trying to pull it back out. I still have the pin.
