    Hello,

New here, hope this is the most appropriate place to post this question.

I have recently found a set of IS TRD wheels with BFG 285/75/16 tires. I have read the offset is only 1mm on these wheels.

I currently have 17in 4runner/Tacoma wheels which have an offset of 30mm, which was a huge oversight by my younger self 7 years ago. So the change in offset is -29mm or 1.14inches

My current tires are 265/70/17 and I have no rubbing issues. The change in offset is greater than the change in tire width. The wheels will go from 17 to 16 but the ratio goes from 70 to 75. So it looks like the height of the tire will increase by 1.24 inches or 31.5mm

I feel like UCAs will be fine but I am unsure how offset will affect fender and mud flap. Think it will work????

Stay tuned to find out I guess :p

Welp, good news and bad news. Without further delay- YES THEY FIT

    but

apparently the set I purchased are almost 20 years old - I didn’t look close enough at the BFG KOs and well they are originals from 05-06. So I just had to drop some more cash for new ones because Discount Tire wouldn’t let it roll on 20 year old tires…. here I was worried about the fit and now I’m worried about my wallet LOL

    Pics coming soon!

Little mud flap rub in front wheel well but other than that I’m happy! Next up, headlight restoration

Thanks! I definitely over paid considering the tires that were originally mounted got thrown away, but nice to know they are OG wheels
