Good morning everyone, So I’m at a shop now, that I’ve been using for 40 years. Very honest and reasonable. Rack and Pinion bushings failed on my 2019 platinum 4x4 with 90K. They said Toyota doesn’t sell them. Aftermarket alternatives are junk. From years of replacing them. So they want to replace a reman R&P instead. I asked, bushings on reman seem to last. Where do those come from. The shop has done extensive research on the matter. Has never gotten any answers. Is there anyone that have used aftermarket’s with long mileage success.

Reach out to Total Chaos, pretty sure they can get you directed at some poly bushings.

Seems absurd to replace the rack for some bushings. It might be worth putting in some aftermarket stuff and seeing how long it lasts.
