After a week of driving, my front ones connecting the box to the front air dam pieces are like barely hanging on…

 

was wondering about this. Understand that it’s a low pressure inflow but surprised not clamped given vibrations that are possible up front.

 

Absolutely, that is being addressed also. The couplers are going to be longer moving forward and we'll let you know once we have the new longer ones in hand.

 

Haven't opened mine yet but installed tru-control and yeah...it makes mo powa ha ha...exhaust is next!

 

Kinda like as if the finished product was not tested for final fit and finish…. But glad it is being addressed.

I'm all about being transparent and addressing an issue vs. shoving it under the rug. The intake is a great design, with a couple small preliminary issues that we will address.

 

Hi @BriannaSTILLEN quoting myself again because I dont think I got an answer to this and we are 2 weeks into this issue. Now that you guys have a better understanding of the problem and possible solutions...what are we looking at time wise on a fix? I know Im putting you on the spot but I think its fair to get an ETA when we have a good chunk of change tied up in this.

 

I think a fellow Brother is selling theirs,you might wanna check out the 3rd gen market place.

 

Yeah think that barbed fitting would be effective and cost effective to versus additional clamps.

I think @Breathing Borla had the correct solution to this. They arrange to have you send them back, issue a refund, and then send you out a new one FOC once the issues are ironed out. Seems completely fair for being an early adopter on something like this. You've dumped a bunch of extra time basically doing fitment testing for them.

 

That should have taken place before going prime time. I’m surprised no Stillen fan boi as made the famous “ Stillen will make it right “ statement… as previously had been the fav quote around these here parts.

But I’m sure they will, just the inconvenience. Kinda like the bearing-gate debacle ….

for @BriannaSTILLEN I’m having same question as Eddie basically of what do we do think will be a time frame to be ready and what do we do with the current intakes? Send them back and wait for replacements?

 

Good morning everyone.

We have 3D printed new lids which clear the coolant reservoir tank. These will move forward into production. We are working on figuring out the best solution for the clamps. The silicon couplers will also be addressed - they will be longer moving forward.

I do not have an exact timeframe, but we are moving forward as quickly as possible. We will provide another update soon with better ETA information.

No point in acting like were not frustrated and/or disappointed, right? Vendors should know when they've ticked off customers so they can step up and make it right. If we pretend like everything is right, they will be under the same assumption and will do nothing about it. But if its brought to their attention, a remedy is requested and the opportunity is given to them, then the ball is totally in their court. Stillen messed up, big time. Now is the time for them to show us who they truly are

There still on sale, coz the ones purchasing are paying for current owners replacements.

Or, if you want to play hardball, just dispute the charge with your credit card company as defective merchandise with no timely response/resolution from the vendor. You'll get your money back immediately while Stillen tries to explain how/why they aren't at fault. I bet Stillen reaches out quickly then since you'll have the product AND your money.
