Tundra Limited HVAC heat not working

Hey guys....help needed. I have a 2014 Tundra limited with 197k miles and have never had a problem in 10 years! Love the truck. But now I have an AC / Heat issue. It started this a couple days ago. When I start the truck, there's no response or even any display on the HVAC controls until about 30 second later. Then I have to push "auto" and everything comes on. All the modes of the blower (floor, face, defrost) all work fine. Blower works. AC gets cold like normal. The only problem is, I have no heat. It will not recognize when I turn the temp all the way up. Is this a servo issue? Or more of a sensor/computer issue? Thanks!

 

The blend door in the system may not be directing heat to the vent. Regardless I would take it to a professional.

 

Thanks for the reply. I can do the repair if it’s just a servo motor etc. if it’s computer related, that’s a different story

 

Sounds like a HVAC control board issue to me, the lack of any response for 30 seconds seems more than a blend door issue.

If you can fine someone local and swap HVAC controls, it’d be an easy thing to test.

I might’ve been wildly wrong, seems common enough that it is a servo motor.
