Digital mirror upgrade possible (2024 TRD Pro)

Hi everyone,

brand new to the Toyota family as of last week with my purchase of my 2024 TRD Pro in Terra. Love it so far (ditched my 2023 Lightning as fast as I could).

Now in Canada the Pro doesn’t come with a digital mirror (my understanding is it does in the US). It almost seems like they had to go out of their way to downgrade this as both rear cameras still exist.

I have a really good friend who has a 2022 1794 which has the camera, but with his overlanding gear, it’s useless to him. We were thinking of just swapping the mirrors.

my guess is if we did that, it will just work when we plug it in. Anyone with this experience?

Why don’t y’all just swap them and see if it works? So yours has the 2 cameras on the 3rd brake light?

 

Yes exactly. We for sure will try if no one has experience. Was more hoping to avoid disappointment if someone has tried and failed already

 

Does your mirror have 2 plugs?

S3 has the wiring for every truck.
S19 has the wiring to the camera assembly..
