Tried searching, but nothing much came up. Perhaps my search was too vague. Any who, anyone have the intake and care to share their feedback?

Had one on a 1990 4Runner anyway, seemed to help the performance a little but I never got any numbers. I can say that the oil was pretty black when I got it, but I took an oil sample in and there was no silicon in the sample, which says it filtered the air pretty well going in. There are always rumors of sand getting by those, but it didn't happen in my case even though it had plenty of time to do that.

Lol, I think the OP was referring to the KN intake specifically for the 3rd gen Tundra.

^ I was my apologies, I guess I should have been a bit more specific.

@dragtek Literally from the K&N instructions. You have to super glue "air straighteners" inside your intake tube. Nothing says high quality like gluing something inside your intake tube with some superglue!!!!! I'm sure that will be fine....

You know who probably thought about the optimal balance between filtering and flow in the intake???I'm going to go with the billion dollar company that designs cars..Toyota! I just don't' understand why people think they're going to outsmart the engineer that designed the stock intake.

But hey if you want fun whooshy turbo noise's that's your prerogative and you should just buy it. My advise is stick with stock filters and don't' waste your money, but if you want it then get it.

I had installed mine about 1 year ago, I didn't have any problems with MAS or the installation.
Off the bat I noticed a significant change in sound quality of the turbos spooling up, and I feel a good response when it kicks in just as the MG has maxed out.
I personally think it's a fun sound enhancement and enjoy it, but to reach the full potential of the turbos it's recommend in conjunction with charge pipes and tuning.

    Cheers OP!

Engineers that probably got straight A’s all thru school built a product. And then bubba comes along and says, I can improve that.

Yep, looked into getting the TRD intake for my SR5. My research revealed the only difference it made was being very expensive and saying TRD on it and being red. That isn't what I'm needing.

I guess, I’m not an engineer so I wouldn’t know.

"LOL" I thought it was important to provide a relevant factoid about K&N filters in general and their ability to filter out sand particles. If you don't get the connection between K&N and K&N neeeever mind.
