There is a theory that pumping slower (giggity) causes less aeration. If true, more energy per dollar. That said, it's a 36 gallon tank plus pit stop to empty trash, use the restroom, grab a bottle of water, etc.

    Tomorrow…

Guess the earthquake was nothing, but now there’s a cyclone somewhere in the region. So weather is going to be 95, 85% humidity and raining. Good times.

I said at the airport, where you'll have sentry mode going. Per Tesla I think it's 6-8% acceptable loss overnight for sentry mode? Can't remember exactly. I'm sure as fuck not leaving it at an airport without sentry mode.

Obviously different with a smaller tank but one time it took me 4 minutes to pull off the highway, fill my car and get back on the road.

Eh, the aeration is a maybe thing. I can see where the idea comes from, but I don't think it's measurable to the average joe if it's real at all. My fuel stops are typically around 15 minutes for the other stuff mentioned.

Edit to clarify: The reason not to aerate the fuel isn't about money. You pay for what is pumped and it's pumped without bubbles, so that doesn't change. It would be the amount of fuel you can fit in the tank with bubbles vs without bubbles. Again, in a fuel tank on a car/truck even with the fuel more aerated it isn't likely that your losing much of anything you'd notice in an Miles per tank measurement.

Hmm.. shouldn't be any worse when the car goes to "sleep".
I have overheat protection on for summer temps, as far as I know there isn't cold protection that drains the battery but I could be wrong

Lithium batteries don't do well if they sit unused. I can and have left my vehicles sitting for a couple weeks before. As long as my battery is good, there's no issue. With a Tesla you will lose range. How much will vary, but it will happen. ICE doesn't do this.

Even with dashcams an ICE doesn't lose RANGE for sitting. An EV does. And no EV gets 600+ miles of range either.

I get you on that point.

I wouldn't leave Sentry mode on at the airport for a week, but that's just me. It's just a $42k car and most people with more expensive vehicles don't have dash cams on 24/7 at the airport. We all have insurance for a reason!

Typical rich guy attitude. Come on down to the sub 6 figure income bracket and see how ok you are with your shit being stolen!
I'm kidding of course, but I have to use the hyperbolic karen logic for funsies with that one!

I have insurance, but I'd rather not use it or go through the hassle of losing my only vehicle. I'd run the sentry mode.

I don't leave it at an airport. I was just using the situation. However, I would like a couple dashcams that could pick up impact/tampering. I just don't know jack about any of that.

Going for a test ride on an e-bike. I'm thankful for the opportunity to do so because it would have sucked to buy one and realize I don't like it. I haven't ridden a bike in so long, wish me luck lol

the solution is to turn off sentry cam and to stop checking the app non-stop. That’s what drains it when it’s parked for weeks on end. That being said, I don’t take my car to the airport. I always Lyft it. Much better peace of mind, and less of a hassle to do so imo.
Also, many ICE vehicles that are left, untouched, are usually hooked to trickle chargers so the battery isn’t dead when u get back to it. It’s also healthy to run the fluids in an ICE, where it’s not needed in EV.
That’s my backyard. I have artificial turf and rocks. It’s saved me some anxiety, lessened my allergy breakouts, cost, and time.

The solution for me is as stated: 600+ miles of range, whether parked for minutes or weeks, and a V8. :burnrubber:
