But I wanted to replace my pro rigids with brighter amber lights and still maintain factory bezel and wiring. It can be done relatively easy. Some might say why? It’s a $700 kit and pretty good. Well I wanted more output with our mounting ditch lights. Writing up detail and instructions now and will add more pictures as I finish the other side. Here’s a quick pic.

Amber is not always brighter or provide more usable light. There is a video comparing amber and white output using BD, Rigid, and one other brand if I recall.

yeah I agree, I’ve seen some comparisons online. I meant to use some punctuation there- brighter, and amber lights.
    Also aesthetically pleasing haha.

How did you do that? Which did you get? Sport/Pro/Max? No jiggling/bouncing going on?

I used the Pros, no jiggling. After 6 months still stable and secure.

remove the oem rigid from the bezel and housing then re-assemble the housing to the bezel.

I used the included bracket from DD but rather than L shaped you straighten it out so the mounting hardware sticks straight back.

From there you drill a hole in the housing bracket where the old wire retaining clip was.

Slide the light straight through the bezel and align center or bracket with hardware through the new hole. Use spacers between the DD bracket and Toyota bracket. Lock nuts and tighten!IMG_0026.jpg IMG_0025.jpg IMG_0024.jpg

Awesome. Thank you. I like how the lights look with square bezel vs circle bezel

I can appreciate that you were able get the DD SS3’s solidly mounted to the bezels, but my pro bezels flop around in the bumper cover. I’ve added foam tape as shims to take up the slop and struggle to eliminate the slop between bezel and bumper end cap.

Mins sharing what you did to overcome this? I have an RMA to return my SS3’s because I could come up with a good solution but might wait now. Assuming you also have zero adjustability for aiming the lights now, too.

you do have some adjustment in that you are using the L bracket from the DD kit. It’s mounted to the housing at the bottom of the bracket just extended on its side. So the pivots are still useful on the light its self. The play in the bezel I just used zip ties to the bumper surround inside the fender well.
