Recommendations for 3-Channel Dashcam Mounts

Does anyone have recommendations for a 3-channel dashcam mount? Typically 3-channels have the rear camera mounted directly onto the window but since it can fully roll down, mounting it on the window is not an option. I was wondering if anyone has any solution for this? I have a Vantrue if that helps. Thanks!

 

I have yet to install my 3 ch. cam from my last truck, but I think there are a few routes you could go, all fairly inexpensive. Something like this that has a tab that slides behind the headliner:

if using a bracket, attachment via velcro or double sided 3M tape, that clip says it works with Vantrue but I'm sure that's referring to a front cam and not rear.

I saw a couple designed for 4Runners on Etsy but those apparently utilize a factory push pin location in the rear center ceiling. I have a '21 as well and there's nothing back there besides the window gasket and headliner.

The only other options I can think of would be to get a small piece of abs and slide it under the headliner, and glue or velcro it in place, attach the rear cam to another piece, and then screw the two together, but then you're putting screw holes in the headliner.

And lastly, you could probably get some strong magnets with or without adhesive backing, stick one under the headliner, stick another to the rear cam, and then stick the magnets together, like these:

Unless your rear cam is fairly heavy, I'd imagine some strong magnets pinching the headliner would be enough to reliably hold it up, and the pinch friction on the headliner would be enough to stop it from moving.

I think that's the same one I linked in the second link above, odd that the hyperlinks populated different titles though lol. I didn't do too much digging, but their website might have even better options. I wonder if someone on the forum might be interested in coming up with a 3D printed universal rear dash cam mount specifically for Tundras. I know @RainMan_PNW has the smarts and tools to do so
